HALLOWEEN LOOK: SNAPCHAT DEER
Want to create a look this year that's super easy to create but still crazily cute? We got together our favourite Lottie essentials to create our Halloween makeup look - The Dead Deer. Where better to take some makeup inspo than Snapchat right? We've fallen for the deer filter so we wanted to recreate it in real life. Note: the 'dead' part is optional but it is Halloween after all! Here's how we did it, and what you need to recreate it on yourself:
Strobe Stix
Believe In Your #Selfie Palette
Contour Queen Brush
Shade and Shadow Angle Brush (you can get both brushes and more in our Best of Brushes Set)
Your favourite liquid eyeliner
Arch Rival Brow Kit
Cotton Bud (Q-Tip)
Hairbands
Fake Blood (optional)
First, start with your base. This is a great look to do after work if you have a spooky party to attend to, as it lends itself well to build up onto your day time makeup...
Step 1 & 2
Build up Strobe Stix for a glowy highlight in the centre of your face - placing it either side of your nose, down the bridge of your nose and chin. We put our Believe In Your #Selfie Palette to good use - the side made a strong edge to get that sharp contour line on the cheek. This palette has the perfect mixture of brown and gold pigments to create your deer face. Use the Contour Queen Brush to blend on the bronzer from your palette, with a touch of shade Lucky Star eyeshadow and bring upwards.
Step 3 & 4
Blend out the pigment to make the line slightly softer with your Contour Queen Brush, and then add the details! With your favourite liquid liner draw on some extra lashes on the top and bottom of your lids, building on your existing liner. Paint on a nose, and only the top lip in black too. We grabbed our Lottie Shade and Shadow Angle Brush, and contoured the nose with Swag eyeshadow. Tame those brows using our Arch Rival Brow Kit.
Step 5 & 6
To get the cute dots, we simply got a cotton bud and put a little makeup remover onto the tip, pressed onto the cheek and twisted. This will lift all of the makeup off in a nice little circle. Get your hairbands and whip your hair up into cute buns on either side - to replicate ears. And here we have it! Here's our finished Dead Deer look with a little fake blood added (we couldn't resist). We hope you like it! Tag us #LottieLondon with all of your scary Halloween looks - we'd love to see what you create with your Lottie essentials! Happy Halloween! x
