THE BFF’S GUIDE TO A SINGLE VALENTINES DAY

Valentine’s Day is actually the best day of the year to be single,  hello all the food and the cheesiest of chick flicks, oh yeah and of course The Notebook. You’re My Butter Half
1 1/4 sticks softened unsalted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg at room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Preheat oven to 180 C. In a large bowl mix all dry ingredients together. Beat the egg and lemon zest together separately and then add to dry mix. Roll out dough to ¼ inch. Use heart shape cutters to cut out a dozen cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes and dust lightly with extra sugar.
Fries before Guys
1/2 pounds of peeled potatoes
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil for frying
Slice potatoes into French fry shape, place into cold water. Heat oil in large skillet on a medium heat; sift the flour and garlic salt and paprika into a large bowl. Dip fries into the patter and place in the hot oil. Fry until brown and crispy.
I Need Smore Friends Like You
8 Chocolate digestive biscuits
10 large marshmallows
2 large bars of milk or dark chocolate
Preheat oven to 180 C. Place 4 digestive biscuits chocolate side up on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Break off a square of chocolate and break into smaller square. – arrange in the middle of the 2 biscuits. Cut the marshmallows in half and arrange one marshmallow half on top of each chocolate square, place another digestive biscuit on top bottom side up. Place tray in oven and cook for 4-6 minutes for melty, gooey s’mores.
